The select sales force at Coast Properties, with over one hundred years of combined experience in real estate sales, are well known and respected in the real estate community. They have solid sales experience in selling some of the largest projects presented on the Big Island in the past decade.
In May, 1986, Mr. Prattas joined Century 21 Kailua-Kona, Inc., and was soon promoted to Broker-In-Charge. In Feb. 1988, he was promoted to Principal Broker, supervising a staff of 30 real estate agents--the largest of any real estate firm in Kona at the time. That year, Century 21 Kailua-Kona rose to number four in sales in the Pacific region. The office competed against some 60 other Century 21 offices to earn that position, a first for a Big Island franchise. In 1989, Mr. Prattas started his new real estate corporation, Coast Properties Ltd., which now serves the Kona-Kohala Coast from its Kailua-Kona office staffed by nine full-time Realtors®. Stathie Prattas was elected President-Elect of the 650-plus member Kona Board of Realtors in late 1996. He then served as the 1998 President, of the Big Island’s largest professional trade organization. In addition, Mr. Prattas served as a director of the Hawaii Association of Realtors (the 3,500 member state association) in 1997. He also served as a Vice-President of the H.A.R. in 1998, as well as a trustee of the association’s Legal Defense Fund. In 2000, Stathie was elected as a director to MLS Hawaii, Inc, (Hawaii Information Service) the regional MLS & Data services provider for the Kona, Hawaii Island, and Kauai Boards of Realtors. Mr. Prattas has represented such entities as : Wal-Mart Stores, Waikoloa Land Co., Towne Development of Hawaii, US Dept. of Agriculture, and many others, representing every type of property: commercial, resort residential, land, farm development, businesses, apartment bldg., and everything in between. As an attribute to his real estate career, Mr. Prattas received his certification as a Hawaii Paralegal in February, 1996. The certification came from the University of Hawaii at Hilo; and the course was taught by Colorado attorney Scott A. Hatch, J.D. The paralegal field has been a tremendous resource in Mr. Prattas’ real estate practice; and in his application to business contracts and law. Other certifications earned were the completion of core courses required to obtain an Appraiser’s license in Hawaii. In the last two years alone, Mr. Prattas has been educated at seminars and symposiums covering study in:
